Are you prepared with enough food to care for your family during a disaster, unemployment, or other emergency? A reserve of food is recommended for your health, happiness and well-being in times of stress.
- It is recommended that you have a 72 hour kit for short term emergency situations.
- Next work to acquire a 2 - 3 week supply of non-perishable foods.
- Start building up a 3 month supply of foods that your family normally eats.
- Finally, acquire long term food storage items and properly store them.
Remember: Store what you eat and eat what you store. Set up a rotation system.

2-3 WEEK SUPPLY
Have a supply of shelf-stable foods that require little or no preparation. For example: cereals, crackers, food bars, canned soups and stews, canned meats, canned vegetables, peanut butter, etc. Have foods your family likes and will eat.
3 MONTH SUPPLY
Have a minimum of 3 months food on hand - what you would normally eat. Foods that you are already accustom to eating - things you like. Canned foods will last indefinitely,
LONG TERM SUPPLY - 1 YEAR
