ELECTION UNREST CONCERNS

I have noticed some warnings about potential civil unrest around the upcoming election.  It has been suggested to prepare BEFORE the election.  Although I think the unrest will be a greater concern in bigger cities it would not hurt to be prepared. Here are some suggestions:.

  1. Have cash on hand - small bills

  2. Have enough food, water, and necessary supplies far at least two weeks.   Remember needs of infants, special needs, and pets and animals.

  3. Top of your gas tanks in your vehicles.  Fill gas cans if possible too.

  4. Plan to stay home as much as possible.  Avoid large gatherings or crowds.  Avoid travel if possible.

  5. Have a 72 hour kit (Bug out or Go Bag) ready for each family member.

  6. Get last minute errands done.  Fill prescriptions, get cash, extra foods, etc as soon as possible.

  7.  Consider that we are going into winter.  Do you have what you need to stay warm?

  8. Identify trusted media sources for information.

  9. Prepare mentally.  “What If” game.  Prepare to defuse situation rather than escalate.

  10. Be ready to care for those in need.  Together we can thrive.

BE PART OF THE SOLUTION NOT THE PROBLEM!
